You keep functioning
On the outside, you do what is needed. On the inside, it takes more and more out of you.
For individuals, groups and organisations
You work. You care. You get things done. You keep going. And sometimes you realise that understanding alone is no longer enough. You want change. Calm. Direction. To be able to move forward with your life again.
From surviving to living.

Recognition before explanation
You may already have shared, explored and understood a great deal. But understanding is not always the same as changing. This website does not ask you to believe in a theory first. It helps you decide whether I, the setting and the format on offer might suit you.
On the outside, you do what is needed. On the inside, it takes more and more out of you.
You have words and insight, but change has yet to truly take hold.
Not merely keep going, but experience calm, direction and control again.

These are public accounts from people who followed a programme with me, or with Danielle and me. In their own words, they describe where they started, what changed and where they are now.
“I am no longer a victim of the effects of post-trauma. I am in control.”
At her first session, Britt’s legs shook so severely that she could barely walk. A few hours later, she noticed that her legs were no longer shaking and felt strength again. Three sessions later, she wrote that she had regained her appetite for life, cautiously dared to think about the future again and was no longer a victim of the effects of post-trauma: ‘I am in control.’
Read Britt’s experience“After so many years of fear, I realised how incredibly free I am now. Calm and peace.”
After years in care, Mirna wrote that she felt control, strength and a future again. Two months later, she sent a message from Albania — travelling alone and hiking in the mountains.
Read Mirna’s experience“Today I am truly free of PTSD and have now had no PNEA attacks for 23 days.”
Jack says he used to collapse an average of twice a day. In his review, he described 23 attack-free days, cycling alone again, cycling with his daughter and being able to set goals again.
Read Jack’s experience“Barry and I have grown much closer again, because we see each other again.”
Three months later, Marieke wrote: ‘We experience things more intensely and are much happier. We are living rather than surviving.’ About her relationship with Barry: ‘We have grown much closer again because we see each other again.’
Read Marieke’s experienceEvery experience is personal. One person's outcome is not a promise to another.

You do not need to know how my method is structured before we speak. In an introductory conversation, we first look at what you are seeking, what participation will require of you and which setting may suit you.
Personal guidance with room for your story, your pace and the practical work involved.
An intensive half-day in a group, focused on recognising what is happening, finding a shared language and taking the first practical steps towards regaining control.
The complete three-day programme for those who want to move beyond understanding, work through the complete route and put it into practice.
Organisations
For professionals, leaders and teams who want to continue acting, communicating and making decisions carefully, even under sustained pressure.
My organisational programmes use clear language, a direct mirror and practical exercises. Each format is grounded in the working environment and designed for application from the next working day.
For leaders and professionals who want to recognise their own patterns under pressure and work deliberately towards greater control.
A focused half-day for a small group, with room to recognise patterns, practise and apply what they learn from the very next working day.
The full route for organisations that want to go beyond an introduction and learn to put the work into practice together.

I take you with me.
Having knowledge is one thing. Mastery means working through that knowledge deeply enough to pass it on to different people in language they understand. Do that often enough and wisdom emerges. That is the triangle I use to measure myself: knowledge, mastery and wisdom.
Hard on the content. Gentle with the person.
Experience behind the work
Former Royal Netherlands Navy diver and helicopter rescue diver, with seven years of service and multiple deployments.
Author of Bevrijd van PTSS — Mijn verhaal, mijn methodiek, published in 2022.
Selected by the jury as one of fifteen nominees from more than one hundred nominations, for my work supporting veterans with PTSD.
After meeting at the White Carnation Award, the Inspector General of the Armed Forces visited my practice in October 2023. The IGK subsequently documented possible next steps and organisations for further exploration within the care system.
