After years of going from therapist to therapist and from care institution to care institution, I ended up with Mark. Or actually, my parents ended up with him. I really no longer saw any point in life. I could no longer imagine how I would ever move beyond the trauma and other misery and, to be very honest, I had little faith in trying something new again.
My parents brought me to the intake; I sat numbly staring ahead in the car. We arrived and Mark was waiting there for me with his two dogs. After a brief introduction, we said goodbye to my parents and started walking. I did not say much, but I immediately felt at ease. After a three-hour intake, I got back into the car with my parents. Positive, grateful and full of confidence. I felt fire inside me. Strength! Hope! I am going to get through this!
Two weeks later, I started at Mark’s practice. Three days in a row of having his method explained. I felt safe, supported, heard and understood. It is almost impossible to describe the positive impact these days had on me. I am so incredibly grateful to Mark! I wish everyone could have the same experience.
I stand in my strength. I finally have control over my body and can show many of my thoughts the door immediately, and that feels wonderful! The strength I feel inside me is something I have never experienced before. I dare to truly connect again, take action, look ahead and be creative. I am free. I can live!! WOW!

A message from Albania
Following her programme · May 2024 · translated from Dutch
Hi Mark, here is a message from me in Albania. Alone. Travelling. Me!? I am writing this during a beautiful hike in the mountains of Berat.
As I walk uphill and once again encounter the beautiful Albanian countryside, I am overcome by emotion. Out of nowhere, I feel tears in my eyes. I find a lovely spot and sit down to write. From little tears to crying, and from crying to sobbing hysterically. I do not care about any of it. A mixture of happiness, release and memories of the past years. It all passes through for a moment.
The thought that stands out above everything is: ‘Fuck, I actually survived all of this.’ After years of so much fear, I realise how incredibly free I am now. Calm and peace. I find that same feeling reflected in the beautiful landscape I am looking out over.
I wanted to share this experience with you. Positive, grateful and full of confidence. Warm wishes, Mirna.
